Wow, Looks Like #lilmamais Everywhere These Days! [Photos]

Rap artist Lil Mama crashed the Jay-Z/Alicia Keys performance last night and has become the poster child for trying to steal someone else's shine. Well, maybe not steal, but she was definitely trying to borrow some. She jumped on stage and, in defiance of J himself, forced herself into the final freeze pose of the performance. It was ridiculous to watch. Here are some photos that were created from the resulting meme.

The Racial Context for Joe Wilson's Outburst (Very interesting)

Attacks on President Obama are not, in and of themselves, racist. They might be made without racist intent; they can even be made without racist effect if they do not find greater results because of ingrained stereotypes about African Americans. Criticizing the president for being willing to push for a clean energy bill, for example, is likely to be devoid of racial effects. However, arguing that he is lying, is corrupt, or has friends who are criminal does have a racist effect because it is easier for us to believe such claims about an African American, as they comprise the myth of the Black character.

Joe Wilson Voted to Provide Taxpayer Money for Illegal Immigrants' Healthcare

However, in 2003, Wilson voted to provide federal funds for illegal immigrants’ healthcare. The vote came on the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, which contained Sec. 1011 authorizing $250,000 annually between 2003 and 2008 for government reimbursements to hospitals who provide treatment for uninsured illegal immigrants. The program has been extended through 2009 and there is currently a bipartisan bill in Congress to make it permanent.

4 Truths and 1 Lie

Lets play a game!

I’m going to make five statements about myself. Four will be true, one will be a lie. Can you figure out which one is the lie?

  1. I really only remember things that I see in print.TRUTH: If you expect me to remember something, you better get it to me electronically somehow or you may as well forget you said it...cuz I probably will.
  2. I missed 1 day out of my entire High School career. TRUTH: The only day I missed was Senior Skip Day
  3. I can count every gf I've had since Kindergarten using only my fingers. TRUTH: From Pre-k to now, including my fiance, I've had about 8 girlfriends. 2 of which were 5yr relationships, both before I was 21.
  4. I actually can't stand the process of making music. I'd rather just lay the vocals and bounce. FALSE: Although I am often frustrated by my limited skills with Reason and Pro Tools which prevents me from always expressing myself fully, I do enjoy production and engineering and I'm learning more every day.
  5. I never had a drink or a smoke until I was of legal age. TRUTH: I never smoked until I was about 20 and didn't take a drink until I was 21 and a friend went, "Wait! You're 21! You can get us booze!"

This was very hard given how much of an oversharer I am online. So, which is the lie?

Glenn Beck Didn't Rape And Murder Anyone... But He Doesn't Want Websites Discussing It Either

In the last couple of weeks, a random internet meme apparently sprung up to highlight this sort of reporting, initiated in a comment on the ever-excellent Fark, it involved a commenter questioning: "Why haven't we had an official response to the rumor that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990?" The idea, which seems plain to many involved, is not to actually suggest that Glenn Beck did such a thing -- but to highlight this tactic of making a totally bogus rumor into "news" by stating it, and wondering why there hasn't been a denial. A bunch of folks have picked up on this claim and run with it (apparently greatly upsetting some loyal Beck fans), turning it into one of those internet memes with legs.
